STEWARTVILLE -- The Lyle/Austin Pacelli boys cross-country had an incomplete at Thursday's 17-team Stewartville Invitational.
Although the team was incomplete, the L/P boys got the second best time ever from freshman Josh Gunderson. With a 23rd place finish, Gunderson ran a time of 18:27 on the day.
Chris Erichsen of Kingsland won the race with a time of 16:08. La Crescent won the team race. Other finishers for the L/P boys were: T.J. Parlin (47th) 19:21; Dan Rysavy (57th) with a time of 19:51; and Shawn Pfeil (75th) with a time of 23:09.
For the L/P girls, Kate Boisjolie was 36th with a time of 17:03. Sammi Jones was 76th with a race time of 18:53. Nicole Calebrese of Kingsland won the individual race and Winona Cotter took the team title.
"It was a good way to start our season," L/P coach Jim Parlin said. "We had some good individual performances, but we have a long ways to get where we want to be by the end of the season."
