An open poetry reading will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Austin Public Library.
The event is sponsored by the Austin Public Library, Friends of the Library &; Library Writers.
Those attending can sign upon entering to read one or two original poems, free verse, blank verse, lyrics, narrative poems, prose and rhymes.
Additional reading will be allowed as time permits. All area poets of any age are welcome. Coffee and refreshments will be provided.
