AUSTIN EDITION -- Lyle/Pacelli rallies to win

Lyle/Austin Pacelli lost the first three matches completed Tuesday before coming back to beat Martin County West 4-3 in boys tennis.

The victory was L/P's first of the season.

The No. 1 doubles team of Nic Anderson and Nate Lyons sealed the victory by winning the final match 10-9 in an adaptive scoring system.

"Nic Anderson and Nate Lyons clinched the match with some clutch play in the last couple of games," LP coach Brian Davis said.

Seventh-grader Steven Mino also improved his record to 3-0 since moving to singles with a victory at No. 4 singles.

Steve Porter, who had struggled with the wind earlier this season, took advantage of the calm conditions in Austin to win at No. 2 singles.

Lyle/Pacelli's other win came when Justin Rieker and Troy Williams received a forfeit at No. 3 doubles.
