From staff reports
Mower County deputies are investigating burglaries at three area agricultural businesses over the weekend.
Deputies said the break-ins all occurred sometime between Saturday evening and Monday morning. Employees at Sargeant Agri Services reported someone broke a window and took two laptop computers worth $2,700, some cash and a model car. Down the street at the Sargeant Elevator and Grain Company, someone got into the building through an exhaust fan by bending the blades and squeezing through.
Once inside, the suspect or suspects took a laptop computer, credit cards and $55 in cash.
Deputies are also investigating a break-in at Northern County Co-op, 502 Mill St., that might be linked. Someone broke in through a window and the business is missing $550 cash, a camera and hand-held radios. Someone also went through a safe.
