Decorah, Iowa, beat Austin for the second time this season with a 6-1 non-conference victory in boys tennis on Friday.
The host Packers could manage just one singles victory in the match.
"They were one step ahead of us at one singles, two singles and two doubles," Austin coach Josh Bendickson said. "Those three matches could have gone either way but Decorah pulled through. Their line up consists of mostly seniors and this is very possibly the year they make it to state."
Kyler Green posted Austin's lone victory. He beat Nick Holtan at No. 4 singles 2-6, 6-2 and 11-9 in a tiebreaker that was played instead of a third set. The win keeps Green unbeaten on the season.
"After losing four straight points in the tiebreaker, I was a little worried but he was able to come through," Bendickson said.

The Packers have three home matches next week. They will play host to Rochester Century on Monday, Mankato East on Tuesday and Rochester John Marshall on Thursday. All three begin at 4:30 p.m.
"We have a busy week coming up with a number of tough matches," Bendickson said.
