Jury selection is under way this week in Mower District Court in the trial of Tramale D. Pitchford, charged in an Aug. 20, 2000, armed robbery of a convenience store.
Court officials said it could take until Friday to seat a jury for the trial, and that opening statements could be given on Monday.
The prosecution alleged that the 21-year-old Minneapolis man went to Sinclair Marketing Services at 900 N. Main St., Austin, where he demanded money from a clerk while pointing a BB gun at her.
