ADAMS -- Southland girls basketball lost to Chatfield 44-34 on Friday night in the Three Rivers Conference.
The Southland Rebels won the battle of the boards, but not on the scoreboard. There just wasn't enough offensive punch for the Southland girls and they remained winless in conference play.
The visiting Chatfield Gophers had three players in double figures on the night. In marked contrast, Ashton May was the only Southland player in double figures with 12 points. May also had 12 rebounds, before fouling out.
Southland (3-18, 0-16 TRC) travels to Lyle for a non-conference game on Tuesday night.
