BRAINERD -- Riverland volleyball went 1-2 in a crossover tournament hosted by Central Lakes Community College.
This tournament took place on Friday and was the final tune-up of the regular season prior to next weekend's Minnesota Community College Conference State Tournament. Riverland played teams from the North Division.
Riverland beat Hibbing 21-30, 30-22, 15-9. The Lady Devils lost to Mesabi 30-28, 24-30, 10-15. Itasca CC then bested Riverland in all three games 30-16, 30-24, and 15-9. Each match was a mandatory three games.
Statistics for Riverland in the tourney included: Stephanie Bucknell 26 digs; Nickole Stier 21 kills, 10 blocks, 4 ace serves; Kenndra Osmundson 14 kills, 14 blocks; Laura Jackson 13 kills; Amy Eiken 13 kills, 5 ace serves, 24 digs; Andrea Miller 46 set assists.
The MCCC State Volleyball Tournament will be hosted by Northland College in Thief River Falls, Minn.
