Austin's Spamtown USA "Nation of One" was chosen as one of the top 100 events in North America for 2004.
The American Bus Association, in conjunction with the Minnesota Office of Tourism, made the selections earlier this month.
Names of winning events will be printed in the next Fast Facts, Travel Partner and at the Oct. 7 group tour and package travel meeting. Other events considered in Minnesota included the Minnesota Renaissance Festival and the St. Paul Winter Carnival.
A festival in New Ulm joined Austin as Minnesota's winners.
