SOUTH ST. PAUL, Minn. -- No one was injured after a car crashed through an apartment early Thursday and landed on a bed where a man and a woman who's seven months pregnant woman were sleeping, police said.

"Both of us have tire tracks on our legs from the tire hitting us," said Tania MacKenzie, who is pregnant. "I honestly don't know how we got out. I really don't. The car was laying right on top of us."

Police said the 23-year-old driver lived in an apartment on the second floor of the building. She told officers she was trying to move the car for a friend when she apparently hit the gas pedal instead of the brake.

The accident happened about 2 a.m. The driver was issued a citation for no drivers license and careless driving.
