OWATONNA — The Austin High softball team was swept by Owatonna in a Big Nine Conference doubleheader on Tuesday.
Austin lost the first game 10-4 and then dropped the late game by a 5-3 score. The visiting Packers had the early lead in both games, but couldn't hold the advantage in the road losses.
Brandi Ruroden had a double for the Packers in the first game. Audrey DeVries scored two runs, Kaycee Lukes scored a run, and Sara Sundberg had the other run for Austin in the loss.
The Packers held a 3-0 lead in the second inning of the late game, but it didn't last. Marie Clennon to the pitching losses in both games.

Austin (3-7, 2-5 Big Nine) plays a doubleheader at Rochester Century on Friday.
