ALBERT LEA — The Austin High girls golf team won a Big Nine Conference dual meet over Albert Lea on Monday.

Led by a meet medalist round from Catherine Wagner, the Austin Packers rolled to a 363-390 win over the Albert Lea Tigers in the conference dual. All of the top four scores from the Packers were under 100 on the day.

Wagner had a round of 81, which included a 2-over par 38 on the back nine. Kelly Hanson of Albert Lea also shot a round of 81 to be the co-medalist in the meet.

Kristen Schulstad, Natalie Swan, and Kirsten Stanek rounded out the scorecard for the Packers in the road win. The top four Austin girls were all even or better on their second nine holes of the day.

"Overall, it was nice to see four scores under 100," Austin coach Carissa Gabrielson said. "Every player shot or tied her lowest score of the year so far. Therefore, 363 is the lowest score we have shot all season, and the girls still talk about ways to improve. It was also nice to see some warm weather; it rained for about 45 minutes, but was nice the rest of the time. Our chipping and putting as a team is improving, but still is an area that needs to be worked on."

Austin (2-0, 2-0 Big Nine) goes on the road again Wednesday afternoon to play in the Farmington Invitational.

• At Green Lea, par 72

Austin (363): Catherine Wagner 43-38—81, Kristen Schulstad 45-45—90, Natalie Swan 48-46—94, Kirsten Stanek 50-48—98, Ingrid Baudler 54-50—104, Sam Brucker 56-56—112.
