Author will visit Rochester to discuss latest novel

Alison McGhee, coordinator of the creative writing program at Metropolitan State University, will discuss her latest novel, "Snap," at 2 p.m. Oct. 10 in Rochester Public Library Auditorium.

Her appearance is another in the library's Coffee House Series. The event is sponsored by Friends of the Rochester Library.

McGhee's first novel, "Rainlight," won the GLCA National Fiction Award and the 1999 Minnesota Book Award.

Her second novel, "Shadow Baby," also won a Minnesota Book Award in 2001 and was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize in Literature.

Admission is free.
