Authorities seek shooting suspect

From staff reports

Authorities are looking for a 19-year-old Rochester man suspected of trying to hit another man with his vehicle and then firing a shot during a dispute Saturday.

Police Capt. Brian Winters said officers were called to the 2400 block of 16th Avenue Northwest about 4:50 p.m. Saturday.

Officers were told that the man tried to run over his former girlfriend's father after the two argued. The man was not hurt. Witnesses said they then heard a shot.

Officers found a spent shell casing near the home but no sign that anything had been hit.
