Barbara Joyce Wilder -- Austin

AUSTIN -- The funeral for Barbara Joyce Wilder will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Worlein Funeral Home Chapel in Austin. Burial will be in Woodbury Cemetery in rural Lyle.

Mrs. Wilder, 80, of Austin, formerly of Lyle, died Tuesday (Jan. 29, 2002) at Comforcare Good Samaritan Center in Austin.

Barbara Joyce Morgan was born Dec. 18, 1921, in Lyle and graduated from Lyle High School. She married Marshall Wilder in 1941 in Owatonna. They lived in Austin for a year, then in Prince Rupert, British Columbia, Canada, for 31⁄2; years, and later in Lyle, Minneapolis and Mason City, Iowa. After her husband's death in 1964, she was employed as a waitress, did cleaning and worked at a laundromat. She enjoyed fishing, crocheting and crossword puzzles.

Survivors include a brother, Larry (Lenore) Morgan. Two sisters and two brothers preceded her in death.

Friends may call an hour before the service Saturday at the funeral home.
