Bari Koral's fall tour to include RCTC stop

Bari Koral's Web site confessions include using her pop-star-in-training status to get out of a speeding ticket.

In her confession she laughs that she does have hit single in Greece and is in the process of writing a book about life on the road, but she doesn't have "Excuse me, I didn't realize you were Bari Koral" status yet.

But she's working on it.

Bari Koral, will perform a free concert at 11 a.m. Oct. 1 at Rochester Community and TechnicalCollege, as part of an extensive fall tour to promote her newest release, "Joy."

"Joy" has garnered praise in music magazines and daily papers around the country, including Spotlight coverage in Billboard Magazine. Songs from "Joy" have been used in the NBC show "Providence," Oprah Winfrey's Oxygen Network and the independent film "The Liar's Club."

Her "Joy" tour is bringing Koral to dozens of colleges and clubs. She's opened for Joan Osborne, Lisa Loeb, Lenny Kravitz and others.

Her new record produced by Ken Rich features Tracy Bonhom on vocals and violin and was just released in the U.S. Additionally, her single "In the Beginning" is on the charts in Europe.
