Rochester John Marshall improved its record to 6-1 in league play with a doubleheader sweep of Faribault in Big Nine Conference baseball on Tuesday.
The Rockets won a close 4-3 game in the opener, then rolled to a 14-0 victory in five innings in the nightcap.
Derek Hovick pitched five strong innings in the opener for the victory, and Andrew Roble collected a save with two innings of work.
Brian Anderson and Hovick both had RBI singles for JM and Joe Moen was 3-for-4. The Rockets scored single runs in the fifth and sixth to snap a 2-2 tie.
Moen pitched a two-hit shutout over five innings in the second game. He struck out nine and did not issue a walk.

"Joe pitched very well today, (and) we took advantage of nine walks in this game," JM coach Dutch Heiderscheit said.
Hovick was 2-for-4 and drove in four runs while Moen and Jordan Stokess had two RBIs each.
The Rockets (8-1 overall) play at Albert Lea on Thursday.
