JM 7-10, FARIBAULT 3-0
Rockets rally in opener
FARIBAULT — John Marshall rallied for six runs in the top of the seventh inning in the first game en route to a sweep over Faribault.
The Rockets won 7-3 and then 10-0 in five innings.
JM did not have a hit in the first game until Bryce Odegarden opened the seventh inning with a single. After a walk, Faribault pitcher Adam Pena got two outs and was one out away from a win. A passed ball plated one run, and an error scored another to tie the game. Pena walked two batters and then walked Brian Ness with the bases loaded to give JM a 4-3 lead. Spencer Brady hit a two-run single to extend the lead, and Odegarden delivered his second hit of the inning, an RBI single, to score the game’s final run.

"We played better the second game," Heiderscheit said.
The Rockets (6-1 overall, 4-1 Big Nine) play host to Albert Lea on Thursday at 4:30 p.m. at Mayo Field.
