Bernice E. Rehling -- Pine Island

PINE ISLAND -- The funeral for Bernice E. Rehling will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Zumbrota, with the Rev. Mark Homp officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Prairie Cemetery in rural Rochester.

Mrs. Rehling, 84, of Pine Island, a former sales clerk, died Saturday (Oct. 12, 2002) at Zumbrota Hospital.

Bernice E. Reider was born Sept. 8, 1918, in Concord Township, Dodge County, and attended Pine Island schools. On Sept. 4, 1940, she married William Rehling in Pine Island. He died in 1980. She married Joseph Rehling July 24, 1982, in Pine Island, and he died in 2001. Mrs. Rehling worked at J.C. Penney and Donaldson's. She enjoyed sewing, crafts and traveling.

Survivors include two sons, Harold (JoAnn) of Fairmont, Minn., and Bernie (Jan) of Parker, Colo.; four grandchildren; and a brother, Graden (Jeanette) Reider of West Concord. A grandson preceded her in death.

Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Mahn Family Funeral Home-Mahler Chapel in Pine Island and an hour before the service Wednesday at the church.
