AUSTIN -- The funeral for Bernice J. Vermilyea will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary Chapel in Austin, with the Rev. Kristin K. Wee officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery in Austin.
Mrs. Vermilyea, 91, of Austin, died Saturday (Oct. 16, 2004) at Austin Medical Center.
Bernice J. Halverson was born Feb. 9, 1913, in Frost, Minn. Her husband, Lowell Vermilyea, died in 1974. Mrs. Vermilyea was a member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church.
Survivors include two sons, Dale (Kit) of Denver, Colo., and Brian of Austin; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Four sisters and one brother preceded her in death.
Friends may call at the mortuary one hour before the service on Tuesday.
