LAKE CITY — A mass of Christian burial for Bernice M. (Sheehan) Hinkley will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Lumen Christi Catholic Church, 2055 Bohland Ave., in St. Paul. Interment will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
Bernice Hinkley, 89, of Lake City, formerly of St. Paul and Minneapolis, died Tuesday (Nov. 25, 2008).
Bernice Sheehan was born June 18, 1919. She graduated from Villa Maria Academy in Frontenac, and later from the Minneapolis Business College. She retired in 1989 after more than 30 years with the architectural firm BWBR in St. Paul.
She is survived by a son, Stephen (Elizabeth) of Lake City; two granddaughters, Christine (Douglas) Tessman of Maple Grove, Minn., and Jessica (Jeremy) Hinkley-Reese of Lake City; a great-grandson, Joseph Tessman of Maple Grove; a sister, Rita Finnegan of Rosemount, Minn. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph; her parents, William and Margaret Sheehan; and four brothers, Joseph, Frank, Patrick and William.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at O’Halloran & Murphy Funeral Home, 575 S. Snellling Ave., in St. Paul, and an hour prior to the service Wednesday at the church.
