WABASHA -- A graveside service for Betty M. Cochran will be 10 a.m. Sept. 2 in St. Mary's Cemetery in Minneiska, with the Rev. Tom Cochran officiating.
Mrs. Cochran, 78, of Mount Vernon, Mo., formerly of Wabasha, died Tuesday (Aug. 20, 2002) at Lawrence County Manor in Mount Vernon where she had lived since November.
Betty M. Bennett was born March 21, 1924, in Wabasha. On Aug. 29, 1945, she married Norman Cochran in Minneiska, and they lived in Minneapolis. Her husband was a supervisor for Onan Corp. for 40 years, and the couple moved to Wabasha following his retirement in 1980. Mr. Cochran died Feb. 23, 1997.
Survivors include a son, the Rev. Tom (Sue) of Ash Grove, Mo.; and five grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to St. Felix Catholic Church in Wabasha or St. Susanne Catholic Church in Mount Vernon.
