In response to letters in support of Bill O’Reilly’s column, you have got to be living in some small, delusional world if you define "fair, honest, and forthright" as always agreeing with the right and sinking so low as to use insults instead of facts on his show.
I like how one letter writer tried to cover up his conservatism by claiming that he doesn’t always agree with Mr. O’Reilly. Are your fellow citizens of Rochester not good enough for you to tell the truth, too? Am I overreacting when I say I’m just slightly offended?
As for Mr. O’Reilly himself, what are we doing defending a pundit who shares the ranks of Ann Coulter and Michael Moore? And if that’s not enough, a pundit who wrote a novel in which the main character kills off the people who ruin his career, using such descriptions that would make Hannibal Lecter’s mouth water ("Those Who Trespass")?
And if that’s not enough, in this same book we get a more than plentiful dose of sex, which, for those of you fortunate to have not read the book, turns into rape.
Bill O’Reilly, a man who has had complaints of sexual harassment filed against him. Do you really want this man "looking out for you?"
