Blues remain alive
The Rochester Blues kept their season alive Thursday with a 10-0 seven-inning (10-run rule) win over Kasson in the losers-bracket of the Twin Rivers League in Stewartville.
Andy Brigham tossed a two-hitter, walking one and striking out five.
Matt Renk had a big night at the plate for the Blues. He belted three doubles and had three RBIs.
The Blues (18-7 overall) play Stewartville at 11 a.m. Saturday in Stewartville.

STEWARTVILLE -- The Hayfield/Austin Athletics advanced in the Section 6C playoffs after beating Stewartville 5-3 in the Twin Rivers League playoffs.
Stewartville had taken a 3-2 lead in the sixth but third baseman Al Dahlen belted a three-run home run with two outs in the bottom half of the inning to put the Athletics ahead for good. Chris Pack picked up the win, scattering nine hits.
Stewartville will now play the Rochester Blues at 11 a.m. Saturday in Stewartville in an elimination game.
