Body found near Northfield identified as Twin Cities woman

NORTHFIELD, Minn. -- Authorities released on Tuesday the name of a Twin Cities woman whose body was found in a ditch near Northfield.

She was Laura Lynn Demeules, 33, of Blaine.

The Rice County sheriff's office said in a news release that Demeules was last seen near 34th and Lake Street in Minneapolis around 7 p.m. Saturday.

Authorities believe her body was left in the ditch late Saturday or early Sunday.


Authorities were investigating her death.
