Rockets shut out on road

FARIBAULT — Rochester John Marshall held Faribault’s offense in check for two periods, but the Falcons broke through in the third, scoring four goals to seal a Big Nine Conference victory.

Faribault led just 1-0 after two periods.

"We had a good first period," Rockets coach Scott Lecy said. "We were short-handed for most of it, but we weathered the storm. We just didn’t come out in the third period ready to play."

Faribault outshot JM 30-18, and Rockets senior goalie Travis Johnson made 25 saves.

JM is off until Dec. 27, when it opens play in the Kiwanis/Wells Fargo Festival against Buffalo at 2:30 p.m. at Graham Arena I.
