The Rochester Lourdes boys soccer team continued to play stingy defense with a 3-0 non-conference win over South St. Paul at Fuad Mansour Complex Thursday.
Lourdes scored two goals in the first half and rolled to its fourth shutout in seven games. The Eagles improved to 5-1-1.
"For a new defense they’ve really come together and are playing really well," Lourdes coach Tom Kane said. "We’re creating a lot of offensive opportunities with our defense."
Joe Charlesworth opened the scoring on a pass from Kyle Farrell. Abe Muyres made it 2-0 in the first half with an assist from Brandyn Chezick.
