RCTC’s Breland is an All-American

Rochester Community and Technical College freshman Anne Breland was named to the 2008 NJCAA Division III All-America First Team.

Breland, a Lourdes High School graduate, led the 26-4 Yellowjackets with 18 points and eight rebounds per game. She shot 91 percent from the free-throw line, 48 percent from the field and 41 percent from 3-point range.

"This is a much-deserved award for Anne," RCTC coach Steve Hucke said. "She is one of the most talented players that we have had here at RCTC in recent years, and it is good to see her recognized nationally. She was our team leader on and off the court."
