Burrill S. Heil -- Rochester

ROCHESTER -- The funeral for Burrill S. Heil will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Ranfranz &; Vine Funeral Homes in Rochester, with the Rev. Paul Bauch officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Rochester.

Mr. Heil, 85, of Rochester, died Friday (Oct. 15, 2004) at Saint Marys Hospital.

He was born Sept. 11, 1919, in Theilman, and lived in Rochester most of his life. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy. On Nov. 25, 1941, he married Marion J. Lehman in Stewartville. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Heil died Jan. 29, 2001. Mr. Heil had served in the Civilian Conservation Corps and was an accountant at Roddis Feed Co. He enjoyed beekeeping, gardening, farming, hunting and fishing, wine-making and reading the newspaper.

Survivors include four sons, George (Helen) of Theilman, Roger (Joyce) and Tom, both of Rochester, and Richard of Millville; four daughters, Beverly (Roger) Taylor of Pine Island, Nancy (William) Kobi of Walker, Minn., Joyce (Neil) Melquist of Byron, and Mary Huey of Rochester; 25 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy Huske of Rochester; and one half-brother, Wilber Bright of Milwaukee, Wis. One son, one grandson, one sister and five half-siblings preceded him in death.

Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday and one hour before the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
