ST. PAUL — Calvin Guyer has been selected as QualiTru Sampling Systems' new chief executive officer.
QualiTru makes food and beverage industry sampling solutions to prevent the spread of disease and illness.
Guyer assumed the role on Sept. 1.
Darrell Bigalke, QualiTru’s founder, was inspired to find a safety solution in 1985 when 114 people became ill, 28 people died and 20 pregnant mothers miscarried to due to listeria in unpasteurized milk. Guyer embodies the hope and vision of this growing safety focused endeavor, said Bigalke.
Guyer served in the military and then worked in the private sector, specializing in financial services, business consulting, and leadership coaching. For a time, he lived in Rochester, but now calls Iowa home. He holds a bachelor’s degree as well as a master's of science degree in electrical engineering.
