Give McHale some credit
The NBA is busy handing out its post-season awards. Kevin Durant of the Seattle SuperSonics is expected to be named NBA Rookie of the Year today.
When the league gives out the executive of the year, Kevin McHale of the Minnesota Timberwolves should win it, hands down.
McHale’s the one who traded Kevin Garnett to Boston, which, most likely, will advance to the NBA Finals in a few weeks.
Without Garnett, the Celtics are the Timberwolves. Terrible.
With Garnett, they are one of the best teams in the league, if not the best. Thanks to McHale.
With Garnett, general manager Danny Ainge built the Celtics into a powerhouse in one year. McHale had 12 years to get the job done and failed miserably.
