Falcons fall behind early

CALEDONIA — Fillmore Central dug itself an early hole and couldn’t climb out of it against Caledonia.

Caledonia (5-0) jumped out with 26 first-quarter points and a 33-0 halftime lead. Zach Gran scored three times in the first quarter on short runs to pace the Warriors.

Levi Olstad scored twice in the second half for the Falcons. Olstad scored on a 6-yard run in the third quarter and a 3-yard run in the fourth. He finished with 127 yards rushing on 12 carries. Olstad was also 6-of-19 passing for 60 yards.


For Caledonia, Cody Petersen gained 140 yards on 21 carries and scored one touchdown. Gram totalled 30 yards on the ground and had two catches for 99 yards. Quarterback Cody Moore was 8-for-10 for 237 yards.

Next Friday, Caledonia hosts Chatfield. Fillmore Central (0-5) hosts Rushford-Peterson.
