Schedule: Fridays starting May 18 (post time 7 p.m.); Thursdays starting June 7 (post time 7 p.m.); Saturdays (post time 1:30 p.m. in May, 4 p.m. rest of season), Sundays and holidays (post time 1:30 p.m.), July 3 (post time 4 p.m.).
Racing highlights: May 5, Kentucky Derby wagering; July 14, $100,000 Lady Canterbury Stakes (3-year-olds and up fillies and mares, 1 mile on the turf); Aug. 19, Minnesota Festival of Champions.
Purses: Average $151,470 per day (about same as 2004-06, about twice the amount in 1994 and in the track’s heydays in the late 1980s). By comparison, Iowa’s Prairie Meadows (which has slot machines) averages about $250,000 and elite tracks like Saratoga over $600,000.
