Carole J. Storing — Lake City

LAKE CITY — The Mass of Christian Burial for Carole J. Storing will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lake City, with the Rev. James Russell officiating. Burial will be at a later date.

Mrs. Storing, 71, of Lake City, died Sunday (Oct. 28, 2007) at Saint Marys Hospital in Rochester.

Carole Kukuzke was born Aug. 6, 1936, in Rochester. She married Chuck Storing in Stewartville in 1956. They moved to Lake City in 1966. Mrs. Storing worked as a bartender in Lake City for many years, and loved the people she met and tended to over the years. She also enjoyed golf, fishing, bowling, crocheting, knitting, and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She served as a Boy Scout leader in Stewartville and was an officer in the Lake City Mrs. Jaycees.

Survivors include three sons, Bob (Vicky) of Goodhue, and Scott (Lynn) and Jim (Sherry), both of Red Wing; four daughters, Pam (Dan) Wagner of Millville, and Linda (Randy) Wilson, Vicki (Gary) Schmidt and Barbie (Jerry) Hinrichs, all of Lake City; 17 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Stan (Char) Kukuzke of Albert Lea and Jim (Mar) Kukuzke of Northville, Mich.; and a sister, Barb Denny of Lansford, N.D. She was preceded in death by her husband and a brother.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Anderson-Peterson Chapel in Lake City, and an hour before the service Friday at the church.
