On behalf of the Austin Catholic Schools, I would like to extend my gratitude to the more than three hundred people who attended our "Space Odyssey 2008" benefit auction. Many people and Austin businesses donated tens of thousands of dollars and items to make this a successful event.
We were blessed with a variety of people who made this night possible — most were volunteers and some were our students
Although we do not have final figures yet, we do know that the auction was a success! From trips to San Francisco and Disney World, to bed and breakfast stays, the bidding was terrific! While our guests could bid on a large assortment of unique items, they could also visit and enjoy the company of many good friends. It was an evening of tremendous joy and entertainment.
As students in our Austin Catholic Schools thrive, it is easy to understand why we have such great support. It is evenings like this, that make our work so enjoyable. Thank you, Austin community, for supporting Catholic education. Austin is blessed to have a choice in education.
