Who could have seen this coming?
Well, maybe anyone who has followed Section One, Class AA boys hockey for the past seven years.
Once again, Rochester Century and Lakeville North will face off in the Section 1AA title game.
When the puck drops at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Rochester Recreation Center, it will mark the fifth time in the past six years that the teams have met with a state tournament berth at stake.

Lakeville/Lakeville North (Lakeville split into two schools, North and South, last year) has won all four of those meetings, including a 5-4, three-overtime decision last year, and a 3-2, five-OT victory in 2003.
Top-seeded Century (22-5-0) advanced to this year’s section final with a 4-1 victory over fourth-seeded Rochester Mayo. Garrett Grimstad had two goals and an assist, and Bryan Frischmann had three assists for Century.
Third-seeded Lakeville North (9-16-2) moved on with a 3-1 decision against No. 2 seed Rochester John Marshall. Reed Zweber scored twice for Lakeville North, and freshman goalie Matt Arentz stopped 32 shots.
