A convicted sex offender accused of failing to register as required by state law no longer faces criminal charges.
The Olmsted County Attorney's office has dismissed the charge against David Allen Witts, 27, of Spring Valley. James Martinson, head of the criminal division for the county attorney's office, filed the dismissal Nov. 28, dismissing the complaint dated Nov. 15, 2004, "in the interest of justice."
