WABASHA -- A 25-year-old Wabasha man is expected to be charged with second-degree assault in Wabasha District Court today in connection with a stabbing early Thursday in Kruger Park near Wabasha.
The Wabasha County Sheriff's Department said the man fled after the stabbing but was arrested about noon Thursday in the Winona area. He was returned to Wabasha to face charges.
The department said the victim was taken to a local hospital and later released.
The stabbing was reported at 12:30 a.m.
