Rochester police are investigating the alleged assault of a 24-year-old Rochester woman found unconscious in a driveway late Saturday.
According to Capt. Jim Pittenger, witnesses said the victim was involved in a fight with her 23-year-old boyfriend as the couple sat in a parked car. At about 11:45 p.m., officers were called to a residence along the 200 block of 15th Avenue Southeast, where they found the woman unconscious. She was taken to Saint Marys Hospital for her injuries, and was treated and released, according to a Mayo Clinic spokeswoman.
Police arrested the woman's boyfriend, and charges are pending against him, Pittenger said.
