Charles K. Warrington — St. Ansgar, Iowa

ST. ANSGAR, Iowa — The funeral Mass for Charles K. Warrington will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1204 State St., in Osage, Iowa; the Rev. John Moser will officiate. It was Mr. Warrington’s wish to be cremated. Burial will be in St. Ansgar Cemetery.

Mr. Warrington, 85, died Friday (Sept. 19, 2008) at Mitchell County Regional Health Center in Osage.

Charles Kenneth Warrington was born Oct. 30, 1922, on the family farm in St. Ansgar. He attended school in Oregon and St. Ansgar, and married Dixie Frank on Sept. 9, 1947, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Osage.

Mr. Warrington farmed for many years. He later began his woodworking hobby, and crafted countless items for friends and family. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife; three sons, David (Betty) of Plymouth, Iowa, Tom (Amy) of West Bend, Iowa, and Dan (Wanda) of St. Ansgar; four daughters, Becky (Dean) Bartusek of Hanlontown, Iowa, Donna (Dave) Capuzzi of Rochester, Sue (John) Hackenmiller of Burlington, Iowa, and Dawn (Eric) Tollefson of Charlotte, Iowa; 20 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Marcene Heimerman of Stacyville, Iowa.


Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home, 207 S. School St., in St. Ansgar. There will be a Scripture service at 5 p.m. Following the service on Wednesday there will be a luncheon at the KC Hall in Osage.
