WALTHAM -- The funeral for Charles LeRoy "Chuck" DeVriendt will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Czaplewski Family Funeral Home in Hayfield, with the Rev. Richard Dernek officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Hayfield with military graveside rites by American Legion Rothie Post 330 of Hayfield.
Mr. DeVriendt, 67, of Waltham, a longtime Waltham Plumbing and Heating employee, died Sunday (April 28, 2002) at his home.
He was born Oct. 6. 1934, in Dodge County, attended area public schools and served in the Army for three years. Mr. DeVriendt was employed by Waltham Plumbing and Heating for 35 years. He was a member of the Hayfield American Legion.
Survivors include two sisters, Joyce (Gerald) Juhnke of Blooming Prairie and Donna Stoelk of Austin. He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and an hour before the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
