CHATFIELD — A group of Chatfield residents has formed a new group, the Chatfield Area FFA Alumni Association.
The group is trying to get as many members as possible to charter by May 1, so it can qualify to get scholarships for FFA members.
The Chatfield News newspaper says the alumni group can offer help in other ways, too, such as coaching some FFA teams or by helping chaperone an FFA trip.
The News story says that anyone can join, not just former FFA members or those with farm-related ties. The group’s first meeting was held March 27 with its initial 12 board members. To learn more, call (507) 951-0363.
