The Minnesota Chill lost their first game tonight against the Grand Rapids Force at Mayo Civic Auditorium.
About 1,360 people watched as the Chill lost to the Force, 26 to 28, in the first game. A volleyball match consists of several games; the first team to win three games wins the match.
The winner of tonight's match will advance to the United States Professional Volleyball finals against the Chicago Thunder.
Tonight's match at Mayo Civic Auditorium is the final part of a three-match series pitting the Chill against the Force. The Chill (12-8 this season) won the first match in the series on April 18; the Force (6-14) won the second match on April 21.
