ROCHESTER -- A funeral Mass for Christopher A. Saam will be 11 a.m. Monday at St. Francis Catholic Church, with the Rev. Timothy T. Reker officiating. Burial will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
Mr. Saam, 59, of Rochester, died Monday (April 15, 2002) at Veterans Administration Hospital in St. Cloud, where he had been a patient since November
Born March 30, 1943, in Rochester, he grew up in Rochester and graduated from Lourdes High School. Mr. Saam had been ill since being injured in Vietnam. He was married and later divorced. He enjoyed fishing.
Survivors include his mother, Gertrude F. Saam of Rochester; and two sisters, Gertrude A. Claxton of Mesquite, Texas, and Carla (Douglas) Ulrich of Rochester. His father and a brother preceded him in death.
Friends may call an hour before the service Monday at the church.
