City girls lacrosse wrap 4-22

The Rochester Renegades girls lacrosse team got a balanced effort in whipping Hastings 17-2 in NSLA League action at the Rochester Youth Football Association fields Monday.

Amanda Smith had three goals and an assist to lead the Renegades, who are 4-1-0 overall. Kelsey Mundell, Allie Schwanberg, Justine Savage and Erin Madden all added two goals, while Nara Higano had three assists and a goal.

The Renegades outshot Hastings 31-4.

"I feel like our team really came together and started clicking; we were more cohesive as a team," Renegades coach Maureen Sanderson said.

The Renegades host White Bear Lake at 5:30 p.m. Friday.

CYCLONES 14, HASTINGS 8

Easy Rochester win

The Rochester Cyclones had an easy time with Hastings, coming up with a 14-8 win at the Rochester Youth Football Association fields.

Ali Branch scored four goals, and Maranda Halling, Sara Olson, Leah Bauch and Michelle Bagwell had two each.

The Cyclones play at Holy Family on Wednesday.
