Clarence John Enright -- Austin

AUSTIN -- The funeral for Clarence John Enright will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Worlein Funeral Home in Austin. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Austin.

Mr. Enright, 85, of Austin, died Monday (April 5, 2004) at Austin Medical Center.

He was born Aug. 7, 1918, in Mower County. He attended country schools and Austin High School. On Sept. 2, 1941, he married Mildred A. Tiedemann at Trinity Lutheran Church in Dexter. During World War II, he served in the Army, spending four years overseas, including time in Africa. After his discharge on Aug. 7, 1945, he began work at Hormel Foods Corp. and worked there until his retirement on Sept. 30, 1977. Mr. Enright was an active member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church and enjoyed fishing, bowling and woodworking.

Survivors include his wife and a brother, Gene (Delora) of Duluth. Two sisters and two brothers preceded him in death.

Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today and one hour before the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
