Class B State Amateur Baseball Tournament

We are part of The Trust Project.

What: The 16-team, double-elimination Class B state amateur baseball tournament.

When: The next two weekends in Red Wing and Miesville.

First round: The Rochester Royals open with Red Wing on Friday at 7:30 p.m. in Miesville. The Austin Greyhounds face Hastings at 5 p.m. in Miesville.

Royals lineup: Travis Krahn 3B or DH; Joe Siple 2B; Dave Adams RF; Shawn Leimbek 1B; Jay Kasner CF; Josh Matti C; Joe Duda LF; Chuck Krom 3B/DH; Jim Strain SS; Justin Sokol P.

Up next: If the Royals win, they play the Duluth-Savage winner at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in Red Wing. If the Royals lose they play the Duluth-Savage loser at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Red Wing. If the Royals go 1-1 their first two games, they play a third game on Sunday.


Notes: The Royals have earned a state berth eight straight years and 17 of the past 18 seasons. They were Class B state champions in 1991.
