Post-Bulletin staff

A seminar titled "How to be a good advocate for your loved one in a nursing home" will be held at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Mower County Senior Center.

The speaker will be Jean Patzner Mueller, ombudsman for this region of Minnesota. She serves as an advocate for the residents and recipients of Long Term Health Care Services. She works for Minnesota as a negotiating agency for consumers to get their concerns resolved.

The presentation, at 400 Third St. in Austin, will look at understanding rights while in a nursing home, what questions to ask at a care conference, what to look for in a home and steps to take in resolving problems or concerns.

All are welcome, and reservations are requested. To make reservations or for more information, contact the senior center at 433-2370, ext. 0.
