Clifford A. 'Bud' Kruger -- Rochester

ROCHESTER -- A memorial service for Clifford A. "Bud" Kruger will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Christ United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Kevin Schill officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Kruger, 79, of Rochester, a retired Franklin Heating Station employee, died Friday (Sept. 26, 2003).

He was born Jan. 26, 1924, in Chatfield, grew up there and, after serving in the Army and the Coast Guard during World War II, moved to Rochester. On Oct. 31, 1947, he married Lillian R. Winslow in Chatfield. She is a retired Norwest Bank employee. He worked at the Franklin Heating Station for 39 years and retired in 1986. He enjoyed summers at his cabin in northern Minnesota and winters in southern Texas. Mr. Kruger was a registered trap shooter and took first place in class in 1981 at the Minnesota State Shoot. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, a lifetime member of the Southern Minnesota Sportsman's Club, American Legion Post 92, Rochester Eagles Club, International Operating Engineers 756 and a past member of the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf and bowling

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Linda K. Moon of Rochester; a son, Dan L. (Michele) of Rochester; and four grandchildren. A brother and a sister preceded him in death.

Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Macken Funeral Home.
