• Musical storyteller Jill Herringshaw will present a concert "Mary, Mother of All Joys" to benefit Channel One Food Shelf in Rochester. The concert will be at 7 p.m. Dec. 14 at Oasis Church.
Herringshaw’s presentation, which she has been performing for 16 years, uses words and songs to follow Mary’s journey as mother of Jesus.
Audience members are asked to bring nonperishable food items or funds to be donated to Channel One. Refreshments will be served.

• Family Service Rochester is again conducting its Time Trader service exchange this holiday season. The program provides free help with activities such as hanging Christmas lights, wrapping presents and taking family photos.

• The first Out of the Darkness Walk in Rochester drew 152 walkers and raised $26,687, according to organizer Connie Engle. The walk, which was Sept. 27 at Silver Lake, supports the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and was conducted by the Survivors of Suicide Loss support group in Rochester.
